BestCare IPA is committed to making healthcare — and this website — usable by everyone, including people with disabilities.

Website accessibility

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. That means meaningful heading structure, full keyboard navigability, sufficient color contrast (minimum 4.5:1 for body text), text alternatives for all non-text content, captions for video, and respect for user preferences including reduced motion and high-contrast modes. We use semantic HTML elements and ARIA landmarks throughout the site.

In our offices

BestCare IPA member offices are wheelchair-accessible, including accessible parking, ramps, and restrooms. We offer interpreter services in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Tagalog at no additional cost to patients. We can also arrange American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation with advance notice of at least 48 hours. Please call your doctor's office when scheduling to arrange language or mobility accommodations.

Documents and forms

Patient forms available for download on this site are provided in PDF format. We are working to ensure all downloadable PDFs meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, including tagged structure, reading order, and form field labels. If you need a document in an alternative format — large print, plain text, or audio — contact us and we will provide it within five business days.

Telehealth access

Our telehealth visits are available via video or audio-only call. If you need captioning or a language interpreter during a telehealth appointment, please let your provider's office know at least 24 hours in advance. Audio-only calls are available for patients who cannot access video due to connectivity, device, or disability-related constraints.

Testing and conformance

We test this website with automated accessibility scanning tools and manual keyboard testing on each major update. We test with screen readers including NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS. Our goal is to maintain continuous conformance rather than a point-in-time audit. If you find something that doesn't work as expected, please let us know.

Known limitations

Some third-party content embedded on this site — including maps and external scheduling tools — may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are working with vendors to improve conformance. If a third-party tool creates a barrier for you, contact us and we will provide an accessible alternative path to complete the same task.
